Where did you live before moving to Jubilee Los Lunas? Why did you move?

We lived in Woodbury, Minnesota a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul. All of our children had moved away and we needed to get away from the cold and snow, as well as find a community that offered an active adult lifestyle.

How did you hear about Jubilee?

A friend of ours suggested New Mexico, having lived there himself. We then “googled” retirement communities and found Jubilee.

What do you like most about living in Jubilee?

We love the friends we have made, our home, and the activities that we participate in, as well as the beautiful scenery that is all around us.

What is your favorite cultural thing to do in Los Lunas or Albuquerque?

Culturally, we take advantage of the Albuquerque theater and concert scene; we are so glad that Albuquerque has so much to offer in this way.

What is your favorite nature activity you do in and around Los Lunas?

We love to walk the trails with our neighbors all around Jubilee.We see wonderful bird life, cactus, flowers, and all sorts of plant life.

What are your favorite restaurants in Los Lunas or Albuquerque? What do you like about them?

The Albuquerque restaurants we love the most are Bravo (Italian) and P.F. Chang’s (Asian). Los Lunas favorites include Teofilo’s (New Mexican food) and Dion’s, probably the best pizza we could have wished for. All of these appeal to the palate, and have never let us down as far as flavor and service go.

What is your favorite Jubilee activity that is for homeowners only?

There is no way to isolate a “favorite” Jubilee activity; one of us plays mah jongg, and the other plays pool. We enjoy other games, as well, which occur on a regular basis. Other things we enjoy are the many clubhouse events, where we get together with friends and neighbors to visit and enjoy wonderful refreshments.
